She was one of Motown’s reigning divas and, along with the Vandellas, her famed back up group, Martha Reeves also provided one of the most prescient songs on the 1976 Carrie soundtrack.

With all fiery prom night action that occurs soon after, this song proves to be a wise choice, full of dark, foreshadowing measures.
