Music to Make Horror Films By: Homer Marrs’ “A Prayer for Julian Sands”

Published August 17, 2012 by biggayhorrorfan

“Inside us all is an evil man with gorgeous looks and a hypnotic tan, doing the best he can.” – Homer Marrs, “Julian Sands”

Despite eternal cases of slavish insecurity and romantic self-loathing, Big Gay Horror Fan stopped wishing to be someone else years ago – but being with someone else, now that’s another story! One of the many recipients of this desire, throughout the years, has been the clipped and elegant Julian Sands (currently attached to a cool sounding production of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House featuring Ben Kingsley. — “No, they’re not natural! Those are my theater roots!”)

Here, though, talented and fun out musician Homer Marrs (www.homermarrs.bandcamp.com) takes a look (beyond slavish fan devotion) at the commercial fickleness of Hollywood by exploring the career of genre god, Sands. Nicely, Marrs ties in our personal identification with our celebrity objects of affection – ultimately making this song poignant and fun.

But, Homer, no mention of Stephen King’s Rose Red, Argento’s Phantom of the Opera, Ken Russell’s Gothic, Tale of the Vampire or Blood Ties? — Maybe in the next song, please!!!

Be sure to check out more of Marrs at the above link .or at www.homermarrs.com and Big Gay Horror Fan always welcomes your tales of foreign blonde love at http://www.facebook.com/#!/BigGayHorrorFan, as well!
Until the next time – SWEET love and pink GRUE!!!
